fun friday

gosh, life is great as long as school workload is low! this weekend, i decided to have my share of fun since it is nearing Chinese New Year/Mardi Gras. on friday, i went with a classmate to see the med school talent show. i was expecting a pretty crappy performance, but who knew med students had such amazing talents! i was VERY impressed--we had dancing, musical instrument performances, singing, break-dancing, spear kung-fu (by my neighbor, which was quite impressive), poetry reading, comedy, a play--tons!! not a single act was dull! so well worth my $5. the classmate i went with actually had a "date" with one of the performers that all girls think is cute--he's tall, asian, has dimples...cutie i tell ya! funny thing is i had dinner with med students right before the show, and he sat down at our table! (oh, i should say that this is the first time i've eaten in the cafeteria with other med students. trying to be more social i guess! =) and during dinner, this hottie guy sounded like an idiot by repeating, "these chicken wings are fu*kin' good!!" 3x. oh well...my classmate is also extremely tall (almost 6'!), so they'd make a nice fit.

afterwards, i met my floormate who was going to the "afterparty" of the show. i decided for the 2nd time this entire year to go hit up a club....it was BORING!!! so sucky--nobody really there. but it was fun to dress up and go out again. haven't done that in awhile! and i met more dorm people from the MA program in public heath. =) new ppl to hang out with potentially...so it wasn't all a loss!

(oh yea, i took a video of the spear show with my new camera...but i can't figure out how to put it on a website or something for ppl to access. any ideas?)
